So the last part of our trip we drove 6+ hours from VA to the Charlotte area (suburb). We got to our friends house around 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. We hung out/crashed/chatted for a few hours then took a little drive with our friend Blake to a few of the surrounding subdivisions. My friend Carol kept Ev with her and her 3 children which was great as Ev had already had a long day in the car and was having a good time with their kids aged 11, 7 and 3. We enjoyed a yummy dinner and dessert (yes we ate very well on the whole trip) and stayed up til midnight visiting.
After breakfast the next day we headed out for a few hours in 2 cars and just took in the area. I had also written down 15+ addresses from online (for sale homes in the area) and just drove by them to get a feel for what you can get for the price down there. It's pretty amazing the difference from New England real estate prices. We also drove around the surrounding towns and enjoyed the more rural countryside. After a few hours we stopped for lunch and headed back. In the late afternoon we took the kids to a nearby park til it got dark and headed home for supper and my friend whipped together (with the help of the two little girls) her award winning :) apple pie (so amazing!) Thanks Carol! :)

Ev really enjoyed playing with the kids, she finally had another little girl to play with around her age that enjoyed playing dress up just about as much as she does! Another great visit was had by all and it really helped Ran and I in getting a good layout and pricing of the real estate and area. It was nice weather our entire stay too, which was great, but did make it harder coming back home!

We flew home very early the next morning, satisfied and exhausted from a productive and fun trip.
Now with our house officially on Isoldmyhouse.com, we'll see what happens. It'll probably take another trip down there to make more decisions etc. but it definitely was a good start and it was great being able to get in all the visiting with good friends and family.

glad you had a good trip. I'm a little jealous you got to see Blake and Carol.
