Ran had a tool on craigslist for the past couple of weeks and we got 4-5 hits on it, most in the first week. Every single one of the different people that emailed about it offered the same amount for it without even coming to look at it. Every time we thanked them for the offer but told them we were holding out for the full amount as Ran already was offering it for what he felt was a deal, considering what the item was worth. It's a tool he rarely uses (now that our house is finished, it only had a few specific purposes), but he also wasn't hard pressed to sell it either, so we held out.
Yesterday someone emailed about it, called this morning to get directions and came at exactly the time he said he would. He liked the tool, didn't bother making a lowball offer as he told Ran he knew what the item was worth, and paid full price.
This is the best part though...he had a big plow on his truck and told Ran, hey I'll plow your driveway too (he owns a landscaping co.)... for free!! How awesome is that...

Don't just love craigslist??? We always get our fair share of low ballers and no-shows, but it's usually worth it in the end. We've gotten rid of a lot of stuff that way - and I'm sure judging by the looks of our garage we'll be using it a lot in the future lol:)
what a treat!
